Muted

Since a few days I'm back from the city of bicycles... and cats, as I realized. For the first time I visited a metropolis in which I met more cats than dogs. This passion for cats made the Dutch straightaway sympathetic to me. On top of that I immediately fell in love with the skew brick houses and their big gallery windows.

Although Frithjof and I have spent only six days in the Netherlands, we had the opportunity to try even three different kinds of accommodations. We spent the first night in a beautiful apartment in an old building with my dear Sabrina in Arnhem and drove to Amsterdam by train the next day where we slept in a cute hotel for a single night. Our four last days we got the special treat to live in a stunning house boat with our friend Paul.

In Amsterdam we walked along the town canals for hours, drank barrels of Chocomel and played chess in lovely fellowship by the neighbor´s cat. In the evenings we strolled through the marvelous Vondelpark enjoying delicious fries. Besides I used my new Olympus camera for the first time, thanks to my favourite uncle at this point! More Amsterdam impressions soon.
